The Art of Patience

As a dedicated journaler, I find solace and clarity in writing every morning. It sets the tone for a positive start to my day, allowing me to express my thoughts and intentions for what I want.

This past weekend, I revisited some of my previous entries and want to share a valuable learning moment.

Typically, when I come across goals or aspirations that haven't been fully achieved, my inner saboteur will chime in, causing me to judge myself harshly and trigger a cascade of negative thoughts about my perceived lack of progress and competence.

But this weekend was different. A giant light bulb went off when I reviewed some of the older journal entrees.

I realized that -

Everything takes time.

Change doesn't happen overnight.

It's a gradual process.

How do I know this?

Because when I revisited older entries, I saw that many of the things I wrote about wanting to change, both personally and professionally, had indeed been accomplished.

This realization served as a powerful reminder:

"Patience is part of the process"

When I shifted my perspective through this lens, I felt a weight lifted off my shoulders. What used to feel like self-sabotage transformed into grace.

So my friends, if you find yourself judging the process of making things happen quickly - remember to:

  1. Embrace the process

  2. Have faith and trust in the journey

  3. Allow grace to guide you along the way.

Have a great weekend!

xoxo,

Patricia
