Why Word of the Year Matters

I’ve always talked about the importance of words.

The words we choose to use can either inflate us or deflate us because - words have energy.

For the past 8 years I’ve decided to choose a word of the year over creating New Year’s resolutions.

I’m sure you’ve heard people talking about Word of the Year.

If you've been around me for a while, you know I'm a big supporter of it. 🤩

The idea is to pick a word that will inspire you throughout the year. Studies show that by the second week of February New Year’s resolutions have fallen by the waist side.

For Word of the Year, picking a word that creates an energetic charge is the key - here's why:

➡️ As humans we take all of our action from how we are feeling.

So when you feel “off track” in July let your word inspire you to take action on your dreams, goals or even just your to-do list.

This year, I’ve decided my word is MORE.

When it first came to me I saw my judgy brain say “how selfish to ask for more..”

Realizing that’s how we are wired (judging ourselves), I decided to ignore it and began writing…

More fun.

More laughter.

More clients.

More workshops.

More adventures.

More opportunities.

More experiences.

More collaborations.

And the list goes on!

So, what’s the one word you can choose to inspire yourself this year?

Reply below so I can cheer you on!

xoxo,

Patricia
