What is faith? It's your belief.
When you want to truly believe something - all you need is the belief the size of a tiny seed.
And you can cultivate it or destroy it with one thing:
How many times have you had a tiny belief about what could be possible for yourself - only to destroy it with your thinking that comes from the past? You got super excited about this seed of an idea and then lost the excitement when your brain reminds you of past decisions and situations that didn't pan out.
Here's the flaw...
When you're trying to believe something you've never done before and you lean into your past for reference of your capability - you'll never be able to see your seed grow.
Because your mind does not have a reference from the past for something you've never done.
AND THAT MY FRIENDS IS WHERE A LOT OF PEOPLE'S DREAMS DIE.
This is where the work is.
Pulling our brains out of our ass.....I MEAN PAST.
Growing your seed of belief - requires you to believe new things about yourself...over and over.
This then becomes a practice of continuously believing those new things - sight unseen, especially when your brain wants to argue that it's not who you are right now. Focusing on the future you want and the type of person you want to be is the key to growing your seed into a giant oak tree.
Every time you respond from a future perspective you grow the seed of what's possible.
When Steve Jobs created the Apple computer in his garage - it started with a seed of belief that he could change the way the world works. He saw a vision of a future he believed in and from there took action.
The same is available for each of us.
