      Build your belief first.

When I begin to work with my clients, they all want to know the "strategy" or the "plan" for getting started on what they really want to do. I know exactly what they are looking for - because it's what I thought I needed too when I first started my entrepreneurial journey. I learned the hard way that all the strategy and planning in the world would not build my most important asset: my self belief. You see - it's this little thing called self belief that's driving the bus int

      Regret.

Last week I connected with a gal I've known for a while but haven't seen in a long time. We met for coffee and she filled me in on everything going on in her life. As we talked she told me about all the things she recently accomplished and how proud she was of the strides she'd made. Then she told me where she was feeling stuck. As a coach, I'm trained to reveal my clients blind spots. To show them what they can't see. I'm there to challenge their perceptions and introduce th

      Worst Case Scenario

There was a time not so long ago that I never thought this was possible. I thought that if I was having success, surely the other shoe would drop and I would fail somewhere. This past year, I worked really hard on my “worst case scenario” mentality. I decided that every time my brain wanted to worry when things were going well (..so ridiculous - right?) I would send my brain to the “best case scenario”. In those moments - I believed there was possibility and that gave me hope

      How do you decide?

Where do you make your decisions from? This has been the topic with my prospective clients this week. More times than not, they've never had a life coach before they reach out to me. They have no idea how coaching works. Many have only experienced personal growth with traditional therapy. Therapy and coaching are two very different things. Therapy tends to help people with a condition they may have like depression, anxiety, addiction, trauma…etc. It dives into and spends alot

      Ditch the past..

Some of you may have seen my Facebook post about having a kidney stone attack last week that landed me in the hospital. If you've ever had them, you know the pain and havoc they reek on your body. I knew I was having an attack at 3:30 am because of my prior experience with them, so I didn't waste anytime getting my booty to the ER PRONTO. After a weekend in hospital, I was release and told the stone moved and I "should" pass it over the next few days. I left a happy camper

      Decisions & your future self

The last couple of years, I’ve hired coaches to mentor and grow me to become the best coach and human I can possibly be. I noticed they all have one thing in common. They continuously challenge and remind me to make decisions from the perspective of my future self. They challenge me on where I am in the present moment and where I want to be the following year and beyond. I call this a challenge because my brain had never thought about operating from a future me. My brain wan
