What if raising your personal energy level was as easy as paying attention to what lights you up and what doesn't?
Our energy is powerful.
Yet everyday we take it for granted and even worse -
we give it away.
We give it away to people and circumstances that don't fuel us.
By focusing on things that irritate, frustrate or anger you.
By spending time with people who annoy you.
By shaming or guilting yourself.
...and the list goes on.
Every time you focus on situations or people that drain you -
you rob yourself of feeling good in the moment.
This month I am practicing being congruent and intentional with the energy I want to bring.
I am being INTENTIONAL and on PURPOSE with my energy.
Here's how you can do the same:
Start with noticing your words.
Words have energy.
Words have a vibrational frequency.
Words are powerful and have the ability to help, to heal, to hinder, to hurt, to harm, to humiliate and to humble.
You absolutely can control what words you choose to use.
1) Notice the words you use when you talk to yourself. Do you feel empowered or defeated? Select words that are kind and compassionate. Talk to yourself as you would talk to a small child or your pet. When you make a mistake, don't make it personal - instead look at the facts (like a lawyer) without a judgement about you.
2) Reframe. Feeling down about something? Reframe it to lift your spirit and/or change your attitude. It's the words you use in the stories you tell yourself that drives how you feel.
3) Notice the words you use when you talk to others. Here's the opportunity to speak with encouragement, inspiration and belief. Use the power of your words to leave an impact of good on others. Remember the saying "If you can't say something nice - don't say anything at all."
